"Museum Values - Cultural Heritage" round table

Under the leadership of our esteemed President, during the period of the Revival of a new era of the powerful state of our Motherland, great importance is attached to the preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of our dear people, which dates back thousands of years, its study on a scientific basis and restoration in accordance with world standards, and our national values are constantly restored and enriched in a modern way. On April 14, 2025, a round table on the topic “Museum Values – Cultural Heritage” was held at the Local History museum of Arkadag. The interview was attended by the head of the Department of Social Science of the National Institute of Education of Turkmenistan Ogulbayram Melayeva, the chief treasurer of the Museum of Fine Arts Makhri Atdayeva and the deputy director of the Local History Museum of the city of Arkadag Kakilik Ovezberdiyeva. The interview was conducted by Gulshat Hudayguliyeva, the responsible secretary of the culture department of the “Arkadag” TV channel. During the discussion, teachers from the Arkadag City Children's Art School named after Shukur Bakhshi spoke. Our historical and cultural values, passed on and observed by our ancestors, are studied from a scientific point of view. For centuries, the Turkmen people have carefully preserved their ancient history, cultural and national values, traditions, realizing their role and significance in life. Living proof of this are the museum treasures that are collected, carefully preserved, scientifically studied and presented to the public in the country's world-class museums. As the world community knows, the Turkmen land was the ancient homeland of civilizations and was considered one of the first centers of human culture. Our people, having accumulated rich experience over thousands of years, have a world-class heritage, national values, customs and wonderful traditions. These values have been developed, improved and passed down to our days. The unprecedented efforts of our hero Arkadag, our Arkadagly hero Serdar in collecting ancient and unique examples of heritage formed on the basis of the historical experience of our people, studying them on a scientific basis, conveying their value to the people and popularizing them throughout the world open up new paths for us in studying the national values of our people with their ancient heritage.
