An exhibition of museum treasures"Song of the Victorious Paths" dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory

/> Eighty-one years have passed since Victory Day, the most brutal and bloody war in world history. This war inflicted irreparable losses and led to the deaths of millions of people. Fraternal nations united against this formidable threat and demonstrated courage and fearlessness on the battlefield. Victory in the Great Patriotic War is a shared treasure. The Turkmen people also made a worthy contribution to the Great Victory. Eighty-one years since Victory Day, the heroic memories of these years remain in our hearts, instilling a sense of pride in our compatriots. In honor of the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory, theLocal-history museum of Arkadagheld an exhibition, "Song of Victorious Paths." Senior residents of Arkadag, as well as students and teachers, participated in the exhibition. The exhibition, organized from museum treasures, featured paintings, sculptures, and jewelry. The courage of our compatriots who labored tirelessly on the home front during the brutal war years will never be forgotten. They worked tirelessly in factories and fields, growing and harvesting a bountiful harvest. A poem written by GurbangulyBerdimuhamedov, the father of hero Arkadag, during the war in 1944, "Let's sow plenty of grain!" called for more wheat to be planted and inspired people to work harder. These touching lines reflect true patriotism and the desire to bring Victory Day closer. Turkmen women also made a significant contribution to public service. They worked tirelessly in various sectors of the national economy, replacing those who had gone off to war. They donated approximately 7,400 kilograms of gold and silver jewelry to the Defense Fund. Residents of Turkmenistan raised 243 million rubles and 7,392 kg of silver and gold for the production of aircraft and tanks. 202 train cars filled with gifts for Red Army soldiers were sent to the front. Two million warm clothes and underwear were shipped, and 20,386 tons of scrap metal were prepared and shipped. We are immensely proud that 104 citizens of Turkmenistan were awarded the prestigious title of "Hero of the Soviet Union" for their bravery, and 19 frontline soldiers became full holders of the Order of Glory. Thousands of our compatriots were awarded military orders and medals. Among them are BerdimuhamedAnnayev, grandfather of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the HalkMaslahaty, Hero ArkadagGurbangulyBerdimuhamedov, and great-grandfather of our esteemed President SerdarBerdimuhamedov. Today, BerdimuhamedAnnayev's life serves as an example of patriotism and commitment to high spiritual and moral values for the youth of our country. A man of integrity, BerdimuhamedAnnayev volunteered for the front, returned seriously wounded, and continued his teaching career. By order of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on March 2, 1949, he was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor. It's worth noting that in June 2018, in accordance with a Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, BerdimuhamedAnnayev was awarded the highest state award of the Russian Federation, the Medal "For Valor." BerdimuhamedAnnayev's participation in the Great Patriotic War is a source of great pride. The life of this heroic soldier is an excellent example of service to our country and people.
